Come join us on June 16 when William "Billy" Mauro, Director of Commercial Casualty Product Development, Verisk Analytics/ISO Solutions, will captivate us with his presentation on several key "emerging issues" in our insurance industry.
Early recognition of potential loss exposures from emerging risks can help insurers prepare for underwriting and claims pitfalls, financial consequences, negative customer reaction, and other downstream ramifications. Knowing the loss potential and growth opportunity can help you better serve policyholders. In this session, we will be discussing a select number of emerging issues that could impact the P/C industry, such as 3D Printing, e-cigarettes, marijuana, nanotechnology, and more.
William ("Billy") Mauro is Director of Casualty Product Development at Verisk Analytics/ISO Solutions. Since joining ISO in 2003, Mr. Mauro has been involved in the development of many of ISO's commercial casualty initiatives, including drone coverage options. Mr. Mauro has also helped develop ISO's businessowners, farm, homeowners and market segments programs.
Mr. Mauro has contributed articles to several insurance publications, such as Carrier Management and Gen Re's Policy Wording Matters, and has presented at events run by a number of industry organizations, including the Association of Insurance Complience Professionals (AICP), the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI), the Property and Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB), the CPCU Society, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) and others. Before joining ISO, he was a licensed life insurance agent and worked on life insurance product services at Morgan Stanley.
